The Shenandoans was a Concord, Massachusetts-based band, formed by Portland, Oregon-native George Thompson (on guitar and baritone voice), Bruce Davis of Chicago (on guitar and tenor voice), Nat Adam of Sheridan, Wyoming (on bass guitar and tenor voice), and Peter Lineberger (on tenor guitar and bass voice). All were students at Middlesex College in Concord. Thompson's friends Glenn Berry, Howard Wall and Mike Hurd were also involved in composing some of the music.
